Softball Game Preview: Pisgah Bears vs. Brevard Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Pisgah will face off against Brevard. The Bears will head out on the road to square off against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pisgah is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

While Pisgah's victory against Brevard wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears skirted past the Blue Devils 4-2.

Lilly Inman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alexis Markos, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Pisgah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive games.

Pisgah's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Brevard, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
