Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Perry's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Greene County Rams on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Christina Kanealy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Perry is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5-1. As for Greene County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Perry will be playing at home against West Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greene County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Woodward-Granger at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
