The Templeton Eagles will challenge the Millikan Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Templeton comes in on four and Millikan on seven.
Templeton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Stevenson on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Pirates.

Bo Swan and Charlie Dahlen did most of the damage at the plate: Swan got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Dahlen scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Templeton is undefeated when Dahlen posts two or more runs, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Raab, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.
Templeton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millikan). They never let Credo get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won ten contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Daniel Steimke made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other pitching news, Ian Carmona looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Adrian Ramirez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Amado was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Templeton's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Millikan, their victory bumped their record up to 17-5.
Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Templeton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .431. However, it's not like Millikan struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
