The Eagles didn't even let Mulberry on the board on Tuesday, marking the Eagles' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kamryn Pickering, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Mathers, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
George Jenkins hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lake Wales got themselves on the board against Hardee on Tuesday, but Hardee never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.
Zamirya McBurrows looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Kirsten McRae was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Keira Davis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-6.
George Jenkins pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Wales, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
