Basketball Recap: Plymouth Victorious

Plymouth hadn't done well against Western Reserve recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Plymouth Big Red sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 win over the Western Reserve Roughriders. This was a revenge game for the Big Red: when they faced off against the Roughriders last Thursday, they had to take a 66-47 defeat.

Plymouth now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Western Reserve, they moved to 5-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Plymouth will challenge Crestline at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Plymouth has three straight victories, Crestline has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court. As for Western Reserve, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
