Softball Game Preview: Rosalia Spartans vs. Pomeroy Pirates

For the second straight game, Rosalia will face off against Pomeroy. Rosalia will take on Pomeroy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Rosalia earned a 15-12 victory over Pomeroy. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.

For Pomeroy's part, Kendyl Potoshnik was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Potoshnik also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Caroline McKernain was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Even though they lost, Pomeroy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rosalia's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pomeroy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
