Soccer Game Preview: Cabrillo vs. Corcoran

The Cabrillo Conquistadores will challenge the Corcoran Panthers at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Cabrillo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Cabrillo took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Coastal Christian as Cabrillo made off with a 5-1 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Conquistadores were the better team in the second half.

They hit Coastal Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anthony Montoya (2), Cristiano Medeiros, Ivan Cardenas, and Charles Wallace.

Meanwhile, Corcoran was able to grind out a solid win over Hanford West last Wednesday, taking the game 3-1.

The victory got Corcoran back to even at 1-1. As for Cabrillo, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-2.
