Softball Recap: Quantico Wins Going Away Against Seton

Quantico hadn't done well against Seton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 26-11 margin over the Conquistadors. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Conquistadors: they've now won three in a row.

Jadyn Cline and Alicya Talla did most of the damage at the plate: Cline got on base in all six of her plate appearances with six runs, two triples, and three RBI, while Talla got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Cline has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Greene, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Quantico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .576. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Quantico's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Seton, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Seton will head out to face off against Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Quantico will be paying especially close attention to the Conquistadors' game: after the Conquistadors face off against Foxcroft, they'll take on Quantico again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
