Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Chaparral lost to Douglas County back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Wolverines walked away with a 3-1 win over the Huskies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Chaparral was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 21-25, 25-14.

Cameron Beasley paced Chaparral's offense, picking up 12 kills. Beasley got some help from Joe Ponder and his 21 assists. Beasley also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Benjamin Mason, racking up two apiece.

Chaparral's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11. As for Douglas County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will venture away from home to challenge ThunderRidge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Douglas County, they will head out on the road to square off against Valor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
