Recap: Port Huron Red Hawks vs. Dakota Cougars
The Port Huron Red Hawks came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Dakota on Tuesday and snuck past 52-49. Dakota lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Samone Andrews, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Andrews is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Gabby Brooks-Foster, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Port Huron's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Dakota, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
Port Huron will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th.
