Volleyball Recap: Jack Allen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hononegah over Glenbard East

The Hononegah Indians didn't have quite enough to beat the Glenbard East Rams on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Allen, who had 11 kills, 11 digs, and one block. Allen is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last 12 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Owen Rollinson, who had three digs and two aces.

Hononegah's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Glenbard East, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Hononegah will challenge Belvidere at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenbard East, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Naperville North at 5:30 p.m. on April 10.
