Baseball Recap: Spruce Comes Up Short

Spruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Seagoville Dragons, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 on Tuesday.

Spruce's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Seagoville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-16.

Looking ahead, Spruce will venture away from home to challenge North Mesquite at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Timberwolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Seagoville, they will challenge Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
