Baseball Game Preview: Travelers Rest Devildogs vs. Seneca Bobcats

The Travelers Rest Devildogs will challenge the Seneca Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Travelers Rest has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Travelers Rest's tournament run continued when they took on Easley on Thursday. Travelers Rest fell just short of Easley by a score of 6-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Devildogs in their meetings with the Green Wave: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Seneca never let their opponents score on Saturday. Everything went their way against West-Oak as Seneca made off with a 17-0 victory. The Bobcats have beaten the Warriors the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.

Luke McGuffin looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, William Cutshall was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey McGovern, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Travelers Rest, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
