Recap: Elba Lancers vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The Elba Lancers lost against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Elba took a serious blow against Notre Dame, falling 63-31. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Elba in their matchups with Notre Dame: they've now lost seven in a row.
Leading Notre Dame to victory were Makyell Walker and Jaden Sherwood. Walker scored 12 points along with five steals, while Sherwood scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Sherwood's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jay Antinore, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Elba's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Notre Dame, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
