Volleyball Recap: Eureka Springs Comes Up Short

Eureka Springs lost against Southwest back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Highlanders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-14, 25-12.

Southwest was led to victory by Olivia Hnem and Emma Outhouse. Hnem had 11 digs and seven aces, while Outhouse had six digs and six aces. Those seven aces gave Hnem a new career-high.

Eureka Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Southwest, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6-1.

Coming up, Eureka Springs will take on Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest, they will square off against Everton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
