Baseball Recap: Carlinville Cavaliers vs. Jersey Panthers
Carlinville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to the Jersey Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.
Carlinville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Convery, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. Blake Killam also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Carlinville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Jersey, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Carlinville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 win against Nokomis on the 7th. As for Jersey, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against East Alton-Wood River on the 7th.
