Recap: Mountain View vs. Mesa

Mountain View waltzed into their game on Tuesday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They beat Mesa by a goal, winning 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Mountain View as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of Joel Cota and Julian Lopez, who scored both of Mountain View's goals. The pair have combined for a total of two so far this season.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 3.4 goals per game. As for Mesa, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will challenge Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mesa, they will head out on the road to square off against Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
