Baseball Recap: Forest Lake Gets the Win

Forest Lake's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Woodbury Royals 3-2. The Rangers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Royals, too.

Keegan Lee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Lee was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Micklya, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The win got Forest Lake back to even at 1-1. As for Woodbury, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Forest Lake is set to take on their familiar foe Irondale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Woodbury will square off against rival White Bear Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
