Columbia Falls won the last time they faced Ronan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nico Young and Treysen Murphy were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Young tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Murphy struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Young has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Young went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Murphy went 2-for-4 with three runs. That home run was Young's first of the season.
