Soccer Recap: Paradise Valley Takes a Loss

Paradise Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Copper Canyon Aztecs. The Trojans were probably out for revenge after losing 4-1 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Their goal came courtesy of Daniel VelasquezTorres, who's now up to two this season.

Paradise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Copper Canyon, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Paradise Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Canyon View at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Copper Canyon also won't see the pitch for a while: their next match is against Westview at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
