Softball Recap: North Eugene Comes Up Short

North Eugene lost against Thurston back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Highlanders lost 11-3 to the Colts. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly eight runs.

Cameron Pierce made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

North Eugene dropped their record down to 7-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Thurston, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

While North Eugene had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
