 In what's become a running theme this season, Elmore City-Pernell gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. They blew past the Stratford Bulldogs 12-6. The  win was nothing new for Elmore City-Pernell as they're now sitting on three straight.
  Owen McConnell and  Colby Green did most of the damage at the plate:  McConnell  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Green  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. McConnell is trending in the right direction, as he's  improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Zane Balentine, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-5.
 On Stratford's side,  Canaan Weddle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Elmore City-Pernell has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record  this season. As for Stratford, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-15.
 Elmore City-Pernell will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Christian Heritage at 4:00  p.m. Elmore City-Pernell's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Christian Heritage's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Stratford, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-0  defeat vs. Lexington on the 19th.
