Pocket - Big School Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Jett Goldsberry Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Heritage Hills picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jett Goldsberry. Goldsberry showed up in a big way, rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 53 yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102.8) per game. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.

If history really does repeat itself, Goldsberry might just drop another big game when he faces off against Washington on Friday. When Goldsberry last faced the Hatchets back in October of 2023, he threw for 141 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Big Game from Lesure As Washington Fell 35-18

While Xavion Lesure delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Washington. Lesure was unstoppable, picking up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 70 yards.

On the season, Lesure has caught those 1 touchdown while averaging 22.1 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 49.25 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 93.75 rushing yards.

Heritage Hills Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Hunter Meredith

Hunter Meredith's big game helped extend Heritage Hills's winning streak to six on Friday. Princeton had no answer to Meredith as he rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 61 yards.

Princeton's probably not too fond of Meredith given he always seems to get the better of them. When Meredith last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
