Soccer Recap: Hillsborough Comes Up Short

Hillsborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Alonso Ravens, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Ravens are ranked 60th).

Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Alonso, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-1-2.

Hillsborough will welcome Lennard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lennard will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hillsborough surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alonso, they will head out to challenge Newsome at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Alonso's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Newsome's offense will have their work cut out for them.
