Softball Game Preview: Edgerton Crimson Tide vs. Beloit Memorial Purple Knights

The Edgerton Crimson Tide will venture away from home to face off against the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Edgerton managed to slip by Stoughton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crimson Tide came up short against the Vikings last Friday, falling 12-3. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Beloit Memorial scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Waterford. The Purple Knights' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Amiyah Clark was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that she got this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Middleton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Edgerton might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Beloit Memorial in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
