Basketball Recap: Mountain View Lobos vs. Chaparral Lobos
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Canutillo, Mountain View was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They strolled past the Chaparral Lobos with points to spare, taking the game 44-29. The win was all the more spectacular given Mountain View's disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1285th in Texas, while Chaparral is ranked 125th in New Mexico).

Mountain View can attribute much of their success to Devin Gonzalez, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Gonzalez also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.
