Basketball Game Preview: Cunningham Wildcats vs. Ingalls Bulldogs

The Cunningham Wildcats will face off against the Ingalls Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cunningham is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Cunningham and Pretty Prairie had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Everything went Cunningham's way against Pretty Prairie on Friday as Cunningham made off with a 77-56 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Cunningham got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nate Sterneker out in front who dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Sterneker a new career-high in points. Luke Albers was another key player, going 8-for-13 on his way to 23 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

Cunningham smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ingalls had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 47-39 win over the Trojans. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Cunningham pushed their record up to 20-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.4 points. As for Ingalls, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
