Football Recap: Peotone Takes a Loss

Peotone lost against Wilmington back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils were beaten by the Wildcats 41-13. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Wildcats are ranked 60th).

Although Peotone took the loss, they still got scores from Tyler Walker and Nick Cronin.

Peotone now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wilmington, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Peotone will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Streator at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Wilmington, they will head out to take on Herscher at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
