Softball Recap: Mercy Find Success

Mercy's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Sequoia Ravens by a score of 9-5. The Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ravens, too.

The team relied heavily on Elena Gonzalez, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Isabele Reburiano, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Mercy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Sequoia, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Mercy is taking a road trip to face off against Palo Alto at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last four games Palo Alto has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Sequoia, they will square off against Woodside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodside will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Sequoia surely won't give up without a fight.
