Football Game Preview: South Hunterdon Eagles vs. Plainfield Cardinals

The South Hunterdon Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Plainfield Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Monday, South Hunterdon was just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to Ridge. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Plainfield never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They breezed past Manville to the tune of 39-0. The contest marked the Cardinals' most dominant win of the season.

Plainfield's win came from a few key players South Hunterdon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Na'Dirah Evans, who threw for 75 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Shiloh Arrington was in the mix too, providing Plainfield with two TDs.

Plainfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bria Ray and Aniyah Rogers.

The victory made it two in a row for Plainfield and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points over those games. As for South Hunterdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
