Basketball Recap: Maud Takes a Loss

Maud extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-7. They took a blow against the Allen Mustangs, falling 83-13. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

As for Allen, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

Allen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ricklyn Jasna, who went 9-for-17 en route to 22 points. Jasna continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Addison Prentice was another key player, shooting 67% from the field to rack up 14 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds.

Looking ahead, Maud will challenge Schulter at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Allen, they will take on Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
