Softball Game Preview: William Penn Colonials vs. Mount Pleasant Green Knights

The William Penn Colonials will venture away from home to face off against the Mount Pleasant Green Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. William Penn comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

William Penn fell victim to Red Lion Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 18-0 to the Lions.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Pleasant). They put the hurt on Glasgow with a sharp 21-1 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Green Knights in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won seven in a row.

Mount Pleasant now has a winning record of 3-2. As for William Penn, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

William Penn took their victory against Mount Pleasant when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonials since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
