Basketball Game Preview: Clawson Trojans vs. Bishop Foley Ventures

Clawson is 0-9 against Bishop Foley since December of 2014 but things could change on Wednesday. The Clawson Trojans will face off against the Bishop Foley Ventures at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bishop Foley will be up against a hot Clawson team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. Clawson took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 55-15 victory over Cardinal Mooney Catholic. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Foley). They were the clear victor by a 55-30 margin over Detroit Community on Monday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Ventures with their most commanding win of the season.

Clawson pushed their record up to 20-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points on average over those games. As for Bishop Foley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-19.

Clawson took a serious blow against Bishop Foley in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 50-11. Can Clawson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
