Baseball Recap: Florala's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Emmanuel Christian last Thursday, Florala came back down to earth. Florala took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andalusia Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Easton Walsh put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Walsh was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Florala's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 9-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Dawson Reeves was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Florala's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Andalusia, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

Florala will venture away from home to take on Zion Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andalusia, they will head out to challenge Opp at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Opp will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Andalusia surely won't give up without a fight.
