The Hilliard Davidson Wildcats and the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hilliard Davidson took a loss when they played away from home on Sunday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They secured a 57-52 W over Grove City. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Dublin Coffman's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They fell just short of Olentangy Orange by a score of 68-66. The loss was the Shamrocks' first of the season.

The win got Hilliard Davidson back to even at 3-3. As for Dublin Coffman, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
