Volleyball Recap: Downingtown East Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Downingtown East challenged Quakertown on Monday. The Cougars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Downingtown East took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 24-25, 25-21, 15-8.

Downingtown East's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Quakertown, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-14-1.

Downingtown East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Dock Mennonite on the 15th. After both having extra time off, Quakertown and North Penn will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
