Softball Preview: Millis Mohawks vs. Medfield Warriors
Millis is 1-9 against Medfield since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mohawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Warriors at 3:45 p.m.
Millis is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Bellingham, falling 8-1. That's two games in a row now that the Mohawks have lost by exactly seven runs.

Millis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keira Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Davis is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Isabella Briones also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Medfield). They were the clear victors by an 18-7 margin over Natick on Friday. The Warriors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024.
Tess Baacke was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Cate Rodenhi was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
Medfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Millis' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Medfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
