Volleyball Recap: Roma Takes a Loss

Roma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nixon Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gladiators of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Roma's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nixon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Nixon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against McAllen on the 22nd. Hopefully Roma paid attention to the Mustangs' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
