Basketball Recap: Shawnee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kamryn Morris and Anna Menke

After flying high against St. John's last Monday, Shawnee came back down to earth. The Shawnee Indians took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bath Wildcats on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Anna Menke and Kamryn Morris certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Menke posted nine points and five rebounds, while Morris earned six points and six rebounds. Morris is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bath, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4.

Shawnee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-42 victory against Bellefontaine on the 23rd. As for Bath, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-27 loss against Wauseon on the 21st.
