Noel Velazquez Delivers Best Performance of Season
Maxwell was led to victory by Noel Velazquez, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Velazquez rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Unfortunately for Quincy, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Velazquez. Velazquez rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 163 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes the last time he and the Trojans duked it out back in October of 2023.
