Baseball Recap: Buhach Colony Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Buhach Colony can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Golden Valley Cougars. This was a revenge game for the Thunder: when they faced off against the Cougars on Wednesday, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Daniel Sims looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Buhach Colony is 2-0-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jacob Gomez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Medina, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Buhach Colony's record is now 3-7-1. As for Golden Valley, they moved to 5-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Buhach Colony will have a chance to go back-to-back against Golden Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
