Baseball Recap: Onalaska Comes Up Short

Onalaska blew Viroqua out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Viroqua got their revenge. The Hilltoppers fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 4-2. The Hilltoppers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blackhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Onalaska saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Zinnecker, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Onalaska now has a losing record of 1-2.

Onalaska wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 loss against Bangor on the 12th. As for Viroqua, they are taking a road trip to take on Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Blackhawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
