Basketball Recap: Edmeston Central Skates Past Milford Central with Ease

It was a proper cat-fight when Edmeston Central faced off against Milford Central on Thursday. The Edmeston Central Panthers really took it to the Milford Central Wildcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-43 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Edmeston Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braymon Clark led the charge by putting up 23 points. With that strong performance, Clark is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Zinger, who posted 18 points.

Despite the defeat, Milford Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore RJ Lindsay earned 15 points. Lindsay is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Edmeston Central pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Milford Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Edmeston Central will challenge Cherry Valley-Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Milford Central has already played their next contest, a 54-36 loss against Worcester on the 18th.
