Baseball Preview: Helix Highlanders vs. Eastlake Titans
Helix is 1-9 against Eastlake since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Highlanders will square off against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. Helix's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Eastlake's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Helix's last matchup with Granite Hills could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Highlanders came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-1. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Highlanders who fell 2-0 when the teams previously met back in May of 2024.
Helix saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Carbajal, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Carbajal also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Eastlake made sure to put some runs up on the board against West Hills on Friday. The Titans walked away with a 10-5 win over the Wolf Pack.
