Custer County and Dolores squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Custer County had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Bears. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Custer County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10, 25-22.

Brylee Shy paced Custer County's offense, picking up eight kills. Shy got some help from Stephanie Lewis and her 15 assists.

Dolores found their leader in freshman Layla Mitchell, who had 11 digs. Mitchell has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Custer County's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Dolores, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Custer County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dolores, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Swink on the 13th.
