It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Custer County can now relate to. They came up short against the Dolores Bears on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Custer County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-22.

Dolores found their leader in freshman Layla Mitchell, who had 11 digs. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Custer County's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Dolores, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Custer County nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
