Baseball Game Preview: Central Catholic Raiders vs. La Salle Academy Rams

The Central Catholic Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the La Salle Academy Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Central Catholic has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Sunday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Central Catholic came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Boston College High, falling 23-3.

Meanwhile, La Salle Academy faced North Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 4-0 shutout.

Thomas Malloy was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Angelo Fuscellaro was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

La Salle Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
