Basketball Recap: Follett Panthers vs. Fort Elliott Cougars
The Follett Panthers entered their tilt with the Fort Elliott Cougars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Follett strolled past the Cougars with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 47-28. That's another feather in the cap for Follett, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Follett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kimber Wheatley out in front who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Wheatley hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Reyna Rosales was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Follett pushed their record up to 14-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Fort Elliott, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Follett will face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forgan is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Fort Elliott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
