Basketball Recap: Kansas Triumphs

On Tuesday, the Kansas Comets were able to grind out a solid win over the Webster Warriors, taking the game 64-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hondo Avington, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 15 points and three steals. Avington is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Kimble, who posted 17 points.

Kansas' victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Webster, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Kansas will welcome Kiefer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kansas will be up against Kiefer's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.23 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Webster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
