Baseball Recap: Frostproof Takes a Loss

Frostproof lost against Avon Park last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Frostproof saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Frostproof's record is now 8-13. As for Avon Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frostproof will host Ridge Community at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Avon Park, they will welcome Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
